Madeline Vann, M.P.H., is an independent health journalist based in Williamsburg, Va. Previously, she was a public information officer with the Louisiana Office of Public Health, based in New Orleans, and, later, worked in public relations with the Tulane University Health Sciences Center. In 2007 she began a successful freelance writing career. Her work has appeared on HealthDay, Everydayhealth.com, the Huffington Post, and newspapers such as the New Orleans Times-Picayune and The Huntsville (Ala.) Times.
