Jennifer Hanrahan

Jennifer Hanrahan, D.O., is an associate professor in medicine at Case Western Reserve University and an infectious disease physician at MetroHealth Medical Center. Hanrahan has expertise in the treatment of infectious diseases including HIV/AIDS, in prevention of health care-associated infections, and hospital infection control. She has worked for the Cleveland Department of Public Health, and has participated in planning efforts for response to bioterrorism, avian influenza, and pandemic influenza, and has led hospital planning efforts for the same. She spearheaded readiness for treatment of Ebola and other infectious diseases as contagious as Ebola, and helped her hospital to become one of the designated Ebola treatment hospitals in the United States.
