Curtis L. Lowery, M.D., is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist and the chairperson for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Lowery facilitated the process by which Arkansas insurance reimburses telemedicine, promoted telemedicine understanding, and brought telemedicine access to over 400 health care sites in rural Arkansas, providing clinical consultations and distant provider and patient education.
